In the ever changing market of streetwear fashion, Charlie Kane speaks of an experience economy influenced by our demand on social media. Consumers paying for streetwear merchandise are less likely to pay for quality than they are for experience, which begs the question, “How much are you willing to pay for the HYPE?” Charlie Kane is a writing and practicing curator who concentrates on creating content that educates and provides context toward today’s trends, aligned with streetwear and contemporary fashion. Currently, she curates virtual exhibits with plans to host an on-site experience exhibit in Chicago, spring 2017. Beth Lange proposes a new teaching platform on the forefront of education reform. With educational standards rising, while academic performance is declining, it is time for teachers to regain control of their classrooms. They are the experts in the classroom, just as a lawyer is the expert in a courtroom, and a physician is in the hospital. Beth Lange graduated with a degree in English Education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. She began teaching ninth graders at Fremont Junior High. After three years, she earned her Masters of Education from Harvard University, which qualified her to be a principal. She ended up returning to the classroom with one goal: to be recognized as one of the three most influential teachers each of her students would ever encounter. Since then, Beth has taught all levels of high school English for 26-years in both rural and suburban high schools. Her passion for education has been exceeded only by raising her two sons. Over the past 20 years, a lot has changed in the policing world when it comes to crime-stopping and peacekeeping. With major events such as the Oklahoma City Bombing, 9/11, and more, Officer Steve Hadley shares how the expectation and role of police officers has changed over the course of his career. Stephen Hadley is currently one of three lieutenants in charge of the patrol division of the Peoria Police Department in Peoria, AZ. Stephen began his career in law enforcement in 1990 with the Glendale, AZ police department where he rose to the rank of sergeant working in many assignments including recruit training officer, and field training officer. He served as Sergeant of both the patrol and the bicycle squad that specialized in community outreach. The world can be a lonely place, but Gordon Strain shares his personal experience on how art helps people to connect and how art can be used to overcome depression and PTSD. With an abundance of humor, Gordon presents pieces of art from his Diminutive Man series, which helps us all to understand our relative size/scale in this very large world. Gordon Strain is Associate Professor and Chair of Theater at Franklin College in Franklin, IN. Gordon received his Bachelor of Fine Arts at Ithaca College as well as his Masters of Fine Arts in Scenic Design at Indiana University.  In addition to his artistic and academic work at Franklin, Gordon creates designs for theaters and produces art in all sizes, shapes, and forms. He has been awarded the Creative Arts Renewal Fellowship from the Indianapolis Arts Council and has worked as a set designer for Spaeth Design in New York City.  He currently is working on his own art project titled, "The Diminutive Man" which consists of paintings, sculptures, and photographs. After undergoing a major brain injury as a teen, Jason Bridges was challenged by a diminished IQ. However, he discovered the value of emotional intelligence and how this “EQ” could be used to excel in the world around him. Jason teaches how you too can grow your EQ and how it can improve your life! Jason Bridges is a 1998 alumnus of Wabash College and previously gave a Chapel Talk titled, "Please, Please Lower Your GPA."
